St. Thomas College, Pala was founded on 7th August 1950 by the Diocese of Palai, one of the leading educational agencies in Kerala with proven experience and expertise, having over 450 educational institutions including 7 First Grade Colleges, one teacher Training College, one Engineering College, 20 Higher Secondary Schools, 65 High Schools and numerous Primary Schools. The College was accredited at Four Star level by NAAC in 2000 and is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It is recognized under section 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act 1956. Our vision is to create a center of excellence in higher education through the formation of young people empowered to create a bright future for themselves and others, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or language through dissemination of knowledge, skills and noble values. The College has emerged as a leading centre of higher education in moulding the lives of thousands of students from an agrarian rural background in the central part of Kerala.
